Changes in 2.3b1 from 2.2
The file which contains user passwords (meta/idfile) is now written more safely (and error results are more carefully checked) so that disk full conditions are less likely to cause the file to be truncated. (If the file gets truncated, users' passwords are forgotten, and users must re-register.)
